KEY OBJECTIVESIdentifies opportunities and performs exploration & green field development planning and commercial studies. Participates in detailed feasibility studies and provides the best proposal for management consideration.
Support setting up suitable negotiation strategies and prepare for contract negotiation to ensure maximum benefit to the company for green field development and exploration projects.
Execute the project hand-over activities as planned and coordinate with internal and external teams for flawless execution of the project.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIESPerform studies on each opportunity in terms of planning and commercial aspects, evaluate, rank, and identify potential new opportunities, and formulate the best proposal for management consideration.
Support the team on a detailed feasibility study on selected exploration and green field development opportunities with support from corporate functions to recommend or decline the project:Coordinate with relevant parties, both technical and support, to set up feasibility study plans on the selected opportunity.
Contact and select outside consultants to perform the assigned feasibility study if necessary.
Coordinate, cooperate, and control the implementation activities to obtain results from the studies in all aspects.
Consolidate the results of comprehensive studies, review, evaluate, rank to identify both advantages and disadvantages to continue or decline the project.Prepare to set up and execute suitable negotiation strategies and contracts to ensure maximum return to the organization:Prepare and propose suitable negotiation strategies with maximum return to the organization for approval.
Coordinate and consult with the Legal Team to draft and review contracts and ensure project requirements.
Participate and support negotiation activities.
Coordinate with related functions to organize the signing of contract activities.Support the team in hand-over activities to operations within the timeline:Develop hand-over plans to operations.
Coordinate and meet with related functions, both operations and support teams, to share and transfer information and prepare for hand-over implementation activities in a timely manner.Manage and coordinate the implementation of hand-over as planned and ensure the smooth and successful completion of the hand-over activities.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline with an MBA or a postgraduate degree in Economics or Finance is preferable.
Minimum 5 - 10 years of experience in the E&P industry.
Strong leadership skills, highly motivated, and organized.
A self-starter with the ability to multi-task.
Detail-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
