Job Description:Responsibilities:
Support the Exploration and Development Teams Objectives in meeting well delivery requirements in a safe and cost-effective manner.
Ensure company's, regulatory requirement, and safe practices are adhered to throughout all well planning, drilling operations, and interfaces.
Plan, Engineer, Procure and optimize well plans suitable for well objectives.
Prepare well AFEs, monitor daily drilling costs, benchmark performance, and ensure accurate cost reporting and allocation.
Conduct risk review, interface management, and contingency planning of well plans.
Work closely with the Drilling Superintendent and Drilling Supervisors in the execution phase of drilling operations.
Work closely with the Material and Logistics Team to ensure effective communication, planning, and operations support is achieved at the well-site.
Act as the primary contact for Subsurface teams on day-to-day operations.
Responsible for drilling engineering and technical support to the Drilling Operation Supervision team from the office and in the field when required.
Plan and conduct DWOP and Pre-Spud Meetings for drilling operations.
Be familiar with and ensure all regulatory requirements and guidelines are followed; also responsible for Petronas reporting and approvals for operations.
Complete Drilling End of Well reports within required timeline after the end of operations.
Communicate and work closely with the Completions, Subsea, Pipelines, and Project Engineering (when applicable to well scope).
Communicate with partners and keep them informed of plans and ongoing operations.
Support, in emergency situations, the necessary means to safeguard personnel, environment, asset/properties, and the well(s).
Responsible for ensuring that all regulatory permits are obtained prior to commencing any well operations.
Support and advise the Drilling Operation Supervision team on non-routine procedures and assist them in emergency situations.
Maintain communication with contractors' representatives on the operational status, the lookahead program, troubleshooting, and other technical/operational matters.
Conduct post-well review meetings including After-Action Reviews and Service Quality meetings with service providers.
Provide drilling and completions input to field development plans.
Provide assistance to other team members/projects as required.
Qualifications:
Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
English Competency, MS Office Products, Landmark Well Plan, and Open Well or equivalent.
Familiar with SAP in users role.
Minimum 8 years of experience in Drilling Engineering and Operations, preferably with 1-2 years offshore drilling experience.
Minimum 5 years in Drilling Engineer Position with full cycle(s) of well delivery process.
