Senior Engineer - Manufacturing Automation Engineering
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will have a solid background in manufacturing automation, with a strong focus on process automation and transforming manual processes into automated systems.
This role is crucial in our efforts to minimize errors due to human handling and improve overall operational efficiency.RESPONSIBILITIES:Process Automation Development:Design, develop, and implement automation solutions for manufacturing processes.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of automation solutions.Analyze current manual processes and identify opportunities for automation.System Integration:Integrate automation systems with existing equipment, tools and software platforms.Ensure seamless communication between automated systems and manufacturing executions system (MES) to improve efficiency and reduce human error.Implement best practices for process optimization and quality improvement in automated systems.Troubleshooting and Maintenance:Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation systems.Develop preventive maintenance schedules and provide training and support to staff on new automation technologies.Stay updated with the latest advancements in automation and manufacturing technologies.Ensure all automation solutions comply with industry standards and company policies.Adhere to organizational requirements on quality management, health and safety, code of conduct, legal stipulations, environmental, 5S policies and general duty of care.Maintain confidentiality of all information related to the production processes and components, business and other technology including materials.Other duties assigned.WORK ENVIRONMENT:Works in a fast-paced engineering/manufacturing lab environment.Also works in a standard office environment and uses general office equipment (telephone, PC, copier, fax machine, etc.
).Overtime may be necessary in times of increased demand.QUALIFICATIONS:Strong knowledge of automation technologies, such as PLC programming, robotics, vision systems.Excellent problem-solving, analytical skills and attention to detail.Strong leadership and project management capabilities.Effective communication & interpersonal skills and collaboration with diverse teams.EXPERIENCE:Minimum of eight (8) years' experience in manufacturing automation within semiconductor industry.Proven experience in process automation and transforming manual processes into automated systems to optimize manufacturing processes.Hands-on experience with CAD software and electrical/mechanical schematics.Experience in semiconductor manufacturing processes, including assembly and testing.Good knowledge in lean manufacturing, 6 Sigma, SPC, FMEA.Familiarity with industry 4.0 technologies and concepts.EDUCATION:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automation, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field), or equivalent education and/or experience.WHY JOIN US!As part of our total rewards philosophy, we believe in offering and maintaining competitive compensation and benefits programs for our employees to attract and retain a talented, highly engaged workforce.
