We are currently seeking a Material & Corrosion Engineer/ Sr. Material & Corrosion Engineer to join our team based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Successful candidate would be offered fixed term employment.About the JobMain AccountabilitiesHe liaises with the Project Team for all activities related to corrosion & metallurgy on project level and administration matters.His responsibility shall include the following but not limited to:
Responsible to read and understand clearly the contract requirement and scope of work for project executed.
Ensuring good quality design output as per client design specification and technical requirement.
Produced the agreed deliverables as per project requirement and schedule.
Participate in internal/client meeting at project level.
Provide expert advice and technical input on metallurgy and corrosion issue to support project execution.He is responsible for all technical aspects as below but not limited to:
Perform a CO2 Corrosion Evaluation based on contractually agreed CO2 Corrosion Evaluation Tools (e.g. CORPLUS, NORSOK M506, Hydrocorr, ECE, etc.) for topside processing facilities.
Prepare corrosion assessment report and material selection for process and utility piping and equipment for offshore and onshore facilities (e.g. petrochemical plant, refinery, offshore processing facilities, etc).

Material Selection & Corrosion Control Report
Material Selection & Corrosion Control Philosophy / Corrosion Design Basis Memorandum (CDBM)
Internal Corrosion Monitoring Specification
Protective Coating and Painting Specification
Insulation (Thermal & Cold) insulation specification
Cathodic protectionReview / check deliverables prepared by Metallurgy & Corrosion Engineer to ensure quality of deliverable is at expected level.
Provide technical support to technical proposal and bid evaluation to others discipline as and when required as per project requirement.
Review vendor document as and when technical support required as per project requirement.
Perform any other functions as allocated by Material & Corrosion Section Head.
Provide support to the regional office concerning the Metallurgy & Corrosion issues.About YouWe'd love to hear from you if your profile meets the following essential requirements:Must have:
- Recognized Degree in Materials Engineering
- Minimum 4 years of working experience in the area of Material & Corrosion Engineering for Oil & Gas and Petrochemical field (especially EPC project experience).Nice to have:
- Corrosion Management, Operation and Inspection experience#LI-MK1
