About the role
As the Senior Engineer, Plan & Spec for Carrier, you will manage and grow relationships with owners, developers, consultants, and engineers to secure specifications on major commercial projects across Malaysia. You will also be responsible for specifying commercial projects in various segments including commercial, industrial, data center, education, healthcare, retail, hospitality, and mixed-development.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with the Plan & Spec Manager to develop and execute the growth strategy for Malaysia.
Establish and maintain good relationships with consultants and key accounts and identify business opportunities through customer visitation.
Manage individual sales pipeline and provide regular, accurate sales forecasts.
Support the building of solutions for commercial HVAC, moving from product selling to overall solutions selling encompassing systems, services, and controls.
Provide equipment selection, system design, heat load estimation, and technical support to consultants and key accounts.
Identify customer needs and enhance the company's chances of securing orders via technical understanding.
Identify opportunities for campaigns and services, using knowledge of the market and competitors to develop the company's unique selling propositions and differentiators.
Learn and understand the latest codes & standards for air-conditioning, providing updates to owners & consultants.
Provide input to the marketing of new product development plans.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on the CRM system.
Provide excellent service to clients at all levels.
Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and networking events.
Reach out to architects to discuss HVAC design.
Requirements:
We are looking for a dynamic and highly motivated individual to be part of our plan & spec initiative. The candidate will support the Plan & Spec Manager on strategic initiatives focused on driving growth across the organization. If this is you, get in touch.
As a minimum, you must have:
A minimum Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
A minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience in sales within the HVAC industry.
Reachout and network connections with owners, developers, and M&E consultants.
A background or network in architecture to drive decisions of aesthetic and space design.
Exposure to AutoCAD and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is an added advantage.
Willingness to travel and have your own transportation.
Able to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Able to work with minimum supervision in a structured environment.
Results-oriented and detail-oriented personnel.
