DescriptionTo provide day to day operations support to operating facilities. This position will focus on support for Sarawak offshore and onshore asset with assistance being given to future development/fields as required.
Coverage of process optimization, including topside process optimization from wells to pipeline, topside effluent and greenhouse gas management, utility systems, and any receiving terminal. Responsible for monitoring and improvement of process system performance and reliability.
Plan, schedule, and provide work direction as required for any process troubleshooting and debottlenecking exercise of Sarawak offshore and onshore existing assets. Ensure that operations production objectives set by asset are met and that constraints and operating problems that impact these objectives are fully addressed. Responsible to carry out process calculations and/or process simulation using HYSYS or PIPESIM to address operational issues.
Manage minor studies/projects such as process modifications and performance monitoring. Provide supervision for external contractors/consultants on process-related matters if required.
Support flow assurance issues pertaining to moisture, emulsions, sand, wax/asphaltene, scales, and slugging issues.
Review and act as custodian to process drawings and documentation, such as P&ID, operating envelopes, and process simulation files.
Provide process engineering advice for production facilities on operating (brownfield) development, acting as Technical Authority level while actively managing risk with a focus on simplicity and the end goal.
Arrange/facilitate/participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and HAZOP studies associated with design changes for operating facilities. Participate and contribute to Fire Risk Assessment (FRAs), Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFAs), HAZID, SIL, and other assessments to address process safety and reliability issues.
Provide technical support and input in alarm management matters. Provide technical support for any changes to process safeguarding systems and relevant documentation.
Responsible for end-to-end Management of Change process support relating to process systems for operating assets. This includes initiation and providing process engineering review for the project until completion of work execution.
Keep abreast of current offshore and onshore production technology and, when appropriate, instigate the use of new technologies and ideas in the facilities.
Support technical safety in internal and external audit findings and any follow-through until actions are closed out.
Reviewer of work packs, boundary isolation, and participation in risk assessments and pre-activity safety reviews (PASR), providing input and insight on Process and Flow Assurance matters. This includes during normal operations as well as turnaround and major equipment start-ups.
Requirement
Minimum a degree in Chemical Engineering.
Proficiency to carry out process engineering calculations and simulation skills with at least HYSYS and PIPESIM. Skill with OLGA is an added advantage. Proficient in industry and international standards relevant to Process Engineering and Process Safety.
In-depth knowledge of oil field processes and flow assurance, with a minimum of 10 years of experience covering both oil and gas upstream processing facilities.
Good knowledge of both oil and gas production. Familiar with production processes. Experience working in integrated facilities with receiving gas and oil terminals.
Track record of working for/with an operator company.
Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
Strong personal and interpersonal skills with flexibility to meet the fluctuating needs of cross-functional operations support.#J-18808-Ljbffr
