ResponsibilitiesCoordinating SSD mechanical qualification efforts for new products and changes in designs, materials, or processes
Involvement in mechanical reliability tests including but not limited to solder joint analysis, environmental tests, mechanical stress & solderability
Providing recommendations on product release based on package reliability test results
Jointly assessing risks associated with excursions, conversions, reliability, and qualification issues
Managing reliability schedule plans and providing progress updates to stakeholders in a timely manner
Coordinating with technicians to perform daily execution to meet project schedules
Initiating failure tracker in JIRA and ensuring it's properly closed
Reviewing mechanical test results and providing recommendations
QualificationsMechanical reliability & failure analysis background
Thorough knowledge of semiconductor component package assembly processes and challenges
Knowledge of surface mount processes and challenges
Understanding of mechanical and material interaction effects on reliability of IC components and/or Printed Circuit Assemblies (PCB) assemblies
Good understanding of the effects of thermomechanical, thermal, mechanical, and hygroscopic swelling stresses on package reliability
Working knowledge of industry standard reliability test methods, acceleration models used for life predictions, and sampling statistics preferred
Strong analytical problem-solving skills, excellent multi-tasking skills, and the ability to interact easily with other groups
Good written and verbal communication skills
Self-motivated, able to work independently, and detail-oriented
Basic electronic knowledge is a plus
