Here's how you can help:
Coordinating SSD mechanical qualification efforts for new products and changes in designs, materials, or processes.
Involve in mechanical reliability tests including but not limited to solder joint analysis, environmental tests, mechanical stress & solderability.
Providing recommendations on product release based on package reliability test results.
Jointly assess risk associated with excursions, conversions, reliability, and qualification issues.
Manage reliability schedule plan to stakeholders and provide progress updates in a timely manner.
Coordinate with technicians to perform daily execution to meet project schedules.
Initiate failure tracker in JIRA and ensure it's properly closed.
Review mechanical test results and provide recommendations.
Involve in New Product Introduction phase for tester bring up & resource readiness.
Qualifications:
Mechanical reliability & failure analysis background.
Thorough knowledge of semiconductor component package assembly processes and challenges.
Knowledge of surface mount processes and challenges.
Understanding of mechanical and material interaction effects on reliability of IC components and/or Printed Circuit Assemblies (PCB) assemblies.
Good understanding of the effects of thermomechanical, thermal, mechanical, and hygroscopic swelling stresses on package reliability.
Working knowledge of industry standard reliability test methods, acceleration models used for life predictions, and sampling statistics preferred.
Strong analytical problem-solving skills, excellent multi-tasking skills, and the ability to interact easily with other groups.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Must be self-motivated, able to work independently, and detail-oriented.
Basic electronic & Python scripting knowledge is a plus.
