Full Set of Accounts:
Involves managing the full accounting cycle, from accounts payable (tracking what the company owes) and accounts receivable (tracking incoming payments), to handling fixed assets and managing the general ledger.Monthly Closing and Management Reporting:
Ensures accurate, timely financial closing each month, which involves reconciling accounts and preparing reports that inform management of the company's financial standing.Financial Forecasts and Projections:
Helps predict future financial performance, often with input from department heads, and typically includes budgeting and cash flow forecasting.Daily Cash and Cheque Collection:
Manages daily cash flow by collecting and recording cash and cheques, ensuring all records reconcile with the actual receipts.Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable:
Handles invoicing, billing, and credit/debit notes for accounts receivable. Also responsible for data entry and adjustments for accounts payable, as authorized by the Finance Manager.Bank and Other Reconciliations:
Conducts regular bank reconciliations to match the company's cash balance with bank statements, reducing discrepancies.Accounting Schedules and Coordination with Auditors:
Prepares schedules that detail various account balances and liaises with auditors and tax agents for compliance and audit-related activities.Ad-hoc Assignments:
Supports the finance team on miscellaneous assignments as needed, which may include financial analysis, process improvements, or special projects. Requirements
Educational Qualifications:
A Degree or Diploma in Finance, Accountancy, or a similar field.ACCA, LCCI, or an equivalent certification.Experience:
A minimum of 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in the hospitality sector.Skills and Abilities:
