Core Deliverables 1. Plan, coordinate and Execute International and High Impact Events led by the Corporate Events Department / Corporate Communications. Conduct due diligence to assess merits of potential campaigns/ programs against MDECâs and its Brand vision, mission, and objectives. Effectively coordinate with other internal and external stakeholders to achieve set goals of corporate events Coordinate and execute overall planned activities within compliance and agreed deadlines. Provide valuable input and updates by gathering and analysing information on a timely basis. Identify and analyse risks factors and implement risks mitigation measures across all outreach campaign, event programs and inbound visits activities. Report/escalate critical issues to the Manager / management when the need arises Develop and implement strategic plans for international events, aligning them with organizational objectives. Lead the end-to-end planning process for high-impact events, from conceptualization to execution, ensuring meticulous attention to detail. Cultivate and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including partners, sponsors, vendors, and speakers. Serve as the primary liaison for international partners and participants, addressing inquiries and providing support to ensure their satisfaction. Develop and manage overall event budgets, ensuring prudent allocation of resources and adherence to financial targets. Negotiate contracts with venues, suppliers, and service providers to secure favorable terms and optimize cost-effectiveness. Oversee all logistical aspects of event execution, including venue setup, registration, technical support, and attendee services. Coordinate closely with internal and external teams to troubleshoot any issues and ensure seamless event operations. 2. Perform effective implementation of processes and programs in compliance with the MDEC governance, policies, and procedures. Ensure full compliance to Corporate Events and MDECâs policies and procedures in executing assigned projects. Regularly update self with the Corporate Events Team and MDEC policies and procedures and apply the updated knowledge in daily operations. 3. Coordinate department financial matters and other administrative/ operational requirements. Provide inputs, collate, update, coordinate and prepare weekly and monthly work and KPI achievement reports as required and within agreed deadlines. Provide inputs, collate, update, coordinate and prepare programme presentation decks and other documents as and when required. Update and track overall programs and campaigns reports, budget report, event report administrative reports to management and administrative operational matters (PMDs etc.) as required. Coordinate the inventory and ensure the safe keeping of department assets e.g. buntings, camera, corporate gifts and any other items related to the event. Maintain and update programme and work database as required. Effectively and professionally coordinate official vendors, contractors and other suppliersâ services and performance to support MDECâs aspirations, intent, and corporate identity. Qualifications 3 â 5 years proven working experience in related field Minimum degree in business, marketing, management, event management, communications, or a related field. Familiarity with Government protocol management Familiar with local and international events and good at event trend analysis Able to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods. Willingness to travel internationally and work flexible hours as required. Competency Required.
