Senior Executive, Purchasing

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE Bachelor in Administration and/or Degree holder in Retail from local or overseas universities3-5 years' experience in retailing is preferredGood knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with vendors)Hands-on experience with purchasing softwareUnderstanding of supply chain procedures Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analysesNegotiation skills JOB DESCRIPTION Research potential vendorsCompare and evaluate offers from suppliersNegotiate contract terms of agreement and pricingTrack orders and ensure timely deliveryReview quality of purchased productsEnter order details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databasesMaintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analysesMonitor stock levels and place orders as neededCoordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storageAttend trade shows and exhibitions to stay up-to-date with industry trendsOther duties assigned by the management from time to time ADDITIONAL INFORMATION AND SKILLS: Pleasant and positive personalityStrong critical thinking and problem-solving skills and enjoy using logic to solve complex problemsAble to communicate in Malay and English fluentlySalary negotiable
