JOB PURPOSE & OVERVIEW:
Implementing effective policies, conducting risk assessments, and fostering a safe working environment.
This role also supports the organisation's objectives by aligning SHE practices with operational goals.
A candidate with knowledge of Industrial Relations (IR) will play a key role in maintaining workplace harmony and supporting SHE compliance with labour regulations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.
SHE Compliance and Monitoring
Develop, implement, and maintain SHE policies, procedures, and guidelines in line with local laws and international standards.
Conduct regular risk assessments and workplace audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
Manage SHE-related documentation and reporting to regulatory authorities.

Training and Awareness
Plan and deliver SHE training programs to employees to promote a culture of safety and awareness.
Ensure team members are knowledgeable about SHE practices and their responsibilities.
Lead investigations of accidents, incidents, and near-misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
Prepare comprehensive reports on SHE performance and incident trends.

Industrial Relations Support (Preferred)
Collaborate with the HR and IR teams to address SHE-related aspects in workplace policies and procedures.
Assist in resolving disputes and maintaining harmonious employee relations in alignment with SHE requirements.
4.
Environmental Sustainability
Drive initiatives to enhance environmental responsibility and sustainability within the organisation.
Monitor waste management, energy usage, and other environmental factors.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
Professional certification (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, or similar) is highly desirable.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in Safety, Health, and Environment roles, preferably in industrial, corporate, or manufacturing settings.
Knowledge and experience in Industrial Relations (IR), including handling employee relations and regulatory compliance, will be an advantage.
Strong understanding of SHE regulations, risk assessment methodologies, and environmental sustainability practices.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organisational skills.
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
Ability to travel when required.
