Senior Executive - Terminal 2 (Landside Management - Land Public Transport)Job DescriptionPOSITION GENERAL SUMMARY
Required to lead operations of Land Public Transport Unit including planning and execution of strategic improvement initiatives for the benefit of the company.
ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS
PlanningPlan, organize and manage the work of subordinate staff to ensure that the work is accomplished in a manner consistent with organizational requirements.
Serve as the contact person for all workers within assigned territories.
Develop criteria, application instructions, procedural manuals, and contracts for public transportation programs.
Conduct studies and analyses including cooperation with government agencies to determine improvement opportunities.
Analyse expenditures and other financial information in order to develop plans, policies, and budgets for increasing profits and improving services.
ExecutionImplement and schedule policy changes.
Collaborate with other unit heads in order to formulate and implement policies, procedures, goals, and objectives.
Direct and coordinate, through subordinates, all public transportation operational activities at KL International Airport.
Direct and monitor staff performing daily and ad-hoc tasks.
Prepare management recommendations.
Control & MonitoringMonitor operations to ensure that staff members comply with administrative policies and procedures, safety rules, union contracts, and government regulations.
Monitor spending to ensure that expenses are consistent with approved budgets.
Respond to crises.
Attend to customer complaints regarding public transport services.
Multitask with multiple portfolios when required.
Manage demanding deadlines from external parties.
SkillsMust have a good understanding and experience of land public transport operations.
Proficient communication skills and networking strategy.
Outstanding leadership skills.
EducationInternal
Degree/Diploma/Certificate preferably in Transportation/Business Administration/Management and any other related fields.
Diploma in Airport Management and Master Degree is an added advantage.
Must achieve and maintain the following performance rating for two (2) consecutive years of at least Exceptional/A or Outstanding/B; and Minimum Meet Expectations/C.
The employee must not be subjected to disciplinary punishments except for disciplinary counselling, caution, reminder & warning for the past 36 consecutive months immediately preceding the promotion.
External
Degree in Transportation/Business Administration/Management and any other related fields.
Diploma in Airport Management and Master Degree is an added advantage.
Relevant IndustriesInternal
Degree holder with minimum 3 years relevant working experience in related fields.
Diploma with minimum 5 years relevant working experience in related fields.
Certificate holder with minimum 7 years relevant working experience in related fields.
