The United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network (www.unsdsn.org) was set up in 2012 under the auspices of the UN Secretary-General. SDSN mobilizes global scientific and technological expertise to promote practical solutions for sustainable development, including the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Paris Climate Agreement. SDSN works closely with United Nations agencies, multilateral financing institutions, private sector, and civil society.
TheSDSN Asia Headquarter(hosted bySunway University ) is seeking a thoughtful and talented problem solver to join our dynamic team in the Kuala Lumpur office. The Senior Fellow works within a team and leads the implementation of economic research programmes under the supervision of the SDSN Vice President for Asia & Head of Kuala Lumpur Office. As a Senior Fellow, you will provide research-based policy advice, mentor junior colleagues, and develop and maintain effective relationships and networks with government agencies, NGOs, academicians, and external experts.
Responsibilities:Lead and coordinate team research projects on theMiddle-Income Trap from a Comparative Perspective ,Economics of Green Transformation , andGreen Finance .
Manage research teams as project leader, providing leadership, support, and guidance to colleagues.
Conduct public affairs activities and provide expert economic advice and insights to stakeholders.
Publish high-quality research reports, policy briefs, working papers, and other publications that communicate research findings to diverse audiences.
Requirements:PhD in Economics or relevant fields of studies.
Excellent track record of high-quality research, especially in modelling and quantitative analysis.
Proven expertise in project management involving research, advisory work, and public affairs.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team-oriented multi-cultural environment.
Exceptional skills in active listening, articulating ideas, problem solving, and decision making.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other statistical software.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
