Senior Finance Accountant

Responsibilities:
Oversee and execute all aspects of the month-end closing activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
Ensure timely and accurate posting of financial data into the ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
Review and analyze GL accounts to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
Assist in transitioning financial operations from the regional office to the Shared Service Centre.
Collaborate with internal teams to standardize and streamline accounting processes across regions.
Prepare reports and presentations for management regarding financial performance and month-end activities.
Maintain compliance with company policies, accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP), and regulatory requirements.
Support external audit processes by providing accurate and timely financial data.
Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives for finance operations.
The Successful Applicant:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, etc.) is an advantage.
5-7 years of experience in GL accounting, preferably in a Shared Service environment.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and month-end closing processes.
Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
Excellent attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
A doer mentality with a high level of commitment and accountability in delivering results.
