Key Responsibilities: Finance: 1. Financial Reporting:
• Prepare, review, and present consolidated financial reports for the entire group of companies, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and accounting standards.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.
• Analyze financial performance and provide insights to management for strategic decision-making.
2. Budgeting and Forecasting:
• Lead the development of the annual budget for all group companies and subsidiaries.
• Monitor budget adherence and manage variance analysis, making recommendations for financial improvements.
• Conduct financial forecasting, cash flow management, and liquidity planning to ensure optimal financial health.
3. Cost Control and Optimization:
• Oversee cost control measures across all group businesses to ensure cost efficiency.
• Identify opportunities for financial optimization, cost-saving measures, and value creation.
4. Tax and Compliance:
• Ensure tax compliance and oversee tax planning across group companies.
• Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors to manage audit processes and tax submissions.
Audit and Risk Management: 1. Internal Audit:
• Design and implement internal audit processes for all group entities, including core (education, IT, healthcare) and peripheral businesses (F&B, retail, beauty & aesthetics).
• Conduct regular internal audits to assess financial risks, operational inefficiencies, and ensure adherence to company policies and regulations.
• Provide recommendations for process improvements, risk mitigation, and financial control enhancements.
2. Risk Management:
• Identify and evaluate financial risks across the group and develop mitigation strategies.
• Monitor and review internal controls, ensuring they are effectively designed and operating as intended across various business units.
3. Compliance and Reporting:
• Ensure all group companies comply with financial regulations, including statutory reporting, tax regulations, and industry-specific financial requirements.
• Work closely with external auditors, providing them with the necessary documentation and reports for timely audits.
Team Leadership and Collaboration: 1. Team Management:
• Lead, mentor, and develop junior finance team members to ensure efficient financial operations across the group.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the finance team.
2. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Collaborate with department heads across education, healthcare, F&B, retail, IT, and other business units to ensure alignment with financial goals.
• Provide financial advice and support to operational teams, ensuring financial decisions align with strategic objectives.
Key Qualifications & Skills:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's or professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA is a plus).
• Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of finance experience, including experience in internal auditing and financial management, ideally in a diversified business group.
• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with industries such as education, F&B, retail, IT, healthcare, technology, and beauty & aesthetics.
• Audit Skills: Strong experience in conducting financial audits, identifying risks, and providing actionable insights.
• Financial Expertise: Deep understanding of financial regulations, accounting principles, and best practices for budgeting, reporting, and forecasting.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify financial risks and areas of improvement.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead finance teams and manage cross-functional collaboration.
• Technology Proficiency: Proficient in financial software (ERP systems, accounting tools) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
