Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join our MNC client.
This role will be based in Malaysia and primarily responsible for providing ongoing finance support and accounting services to our APAC entities, such as Singapore.
You will ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, manage month-end reporting with SOX compliance, tax reporting, and deliver high-quality accounting services.

Key Responsibilities: -Responsible for the annual statutory audit, including preparation of draft financial statements and supporting audit and statutory filings.
-Perform monthly closing activities, including journal processing, accrual provisions, and prepayment recognition for assigned APAC countries.
-Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with SOX and local GAAP.
Support monthly management reporting and group reporting as required.
-Analyze monthly account reconciliations to ensure accuracy, completeness, and reasonableness.
-Maintain the fixed assets register and manage capitalizations according to company policies and local tax regimes.
-Support the annual budgeting exercise and budgetary control processes.
-Compute corporate taxes for year-end close.
-Collaborate with tax agents to ensure timely filing of income tax returns for APAC countries.
-Reconcile and submit indirect tax returns (e.g., GST/FBT/WHT) to local tax authorities.
-Provide support for government statistics surveys and ad-hoc projects.
-Assist with process improvements and the implementation of corporate initiatives.

-Preferably a Chartered Accountant with prior audit experience.
-Solid knowledge of IFRS, China GAAP, and SOX requirements.
-Exposure to Australian taxation is a plus.
-Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
-Self-starter with excellent organizational and planning skills; able to meet job objectives and deadlines independently.
-Fluent in English and Mandarin (spoken and written).
-Proficient in Microsoft Excel (vlookup, pivot, Macros), BlackLine, and Hyperion (preferred).
-Adaptive mindset, resourceful, and eager to continuously learn and improve processes.
