Role Summary:
Lead group management reporting, analyze and evaluate the performance of the organization's financial, operational, and managerial processes systems to identify risks, areas for improvement, and to ensure that the organization complies with all relevant regulations, laws, and standards.
Responsibilities:
In this role, you are required to carry out the following responsibilities:
Group Management Reporting
Owner of Group Management reporting system, policy and process to ensure business performance reporting package are presented timely and useful for management and corporate review as well as decision making purposes. This includes setting up a group template for various purposes of group reporting.
Respond to corporate reporting team's questions from time to time.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiencies and effectiveness of the Company management reporting system, including the setup of new business reporting processes, and reviewing policy and SOP periodically to ensure they are updated and applied.
Partner with shared services team and maintain regular engagement with them to align the reporting expectations. Provide periodic updates of business development to ensure the team has sufficient knowledge to perform the job.
Group Financial Planning Analysis
Lead annual strategy and budget process as well as report long-range plan with strategic planning team.
Identify and drive key performance monitoring systems e.g. capex spending, cash flow, key cost monitoring, working capital etc.
Review, analyze and report the financial forecast and performance gap to management team accurately.
Ensure Financial Review Meeting and budget meeting is organized with effective review.
Leadership
Proactive in managing team engagement, performance review, and development plan of the staff, including arranging relevant small group discussions and training to the team.
Engage and work closely with all business segments/business units and controllers as well as internal Finance, Accounting & Tax team to align the financial performance parameters and expectations of the Company.
Develop finance talent as a key target.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, it is recommended that you should have the following skills and qualifications:
At least 15 years of strong working experience, experience in manufacturing/commodity environment (agriculture trading/supply chain and plantation) is an advantage.
Managerial experience of not less than 10 years. Proven strong managerial and leadership qualities.
Strong control mindset and not afraid to say No.
Professional accounting qualification including ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW and/or CPA will be highly preferred.
Excellent oral and written communication skills. Outspoken and able to develop and motivate a team.
Highly responsive and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Business partnering skills and a good team player.
Commercially-oriented with high energy, a 'can-do' attitude and hands-on.
