POSITION OVERVIEW The Senior HR Executive is responsible for managing and executing Compensation & Benefits (C&B) strategies, contributing to smooth HR operations, and handling Industrial Relations (IR) matters. This role will focus 70% on C&B, ensuring competitive and compliant compensation structures, and 30% on operations and IR to ensure alignment with Malaysia's labor laws and industry practices. Mandarin proficiency is essential, as this role requires liaising with partners from China.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Compensation & Benefits (C&B) - 70% Develop, implement, and manage the company's C&B policies in line with market trends and compliance with Malaysian labour laws.Administer payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and timely payment of salaries and benefits.Conduct salary benchmarking, pay structure reviews, and job evaluations to maintain competitive compensation packages.Manage employee benefits programs (e.g., insurance, retirement, allowances) and ensure they are cost-effective and attractive.Oversee the preparation and distribution of salary increment letters, bonus allocations, and other compensation-related documentation.Ensure compliance with statutory requirements like EPF, SOCSO, and EIS.Analyse and monitor C&B data to ensure fairness and transparency in compensation decisions. 2. Operations & Industrial Relations (30%) Operations (20%):
Support and manage in day-to-day HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, and employee data management.Support and manage implementation of HR policies and procedures to ensure smooth and efficient workforce management.Industrial Relations (10%):
Handle IR matters in compliance with Malaysian Employment Act, Industrial Relations Act, and other labour laws.Manage employee grievances and disciplinary cases, ensuring proper documentation and resolution.Liaise with external legal counsel and government authorities (e.g., Industrial Court) as needed for IR-related matters. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.Minimum 3 years of experience in HR, with a focus on C&B and IR.Experience with payroll systems (HR2000) and relevant HR management software.Proficiency in both English and Mandarin (written and spoken) is required for communication with partners from China. SKILLS / PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES Detail-oriented and highly organized.Ability to work under pressure and handle sensitive matters confidentially.Proactive and able to manage multiple responsibilities.Strong negotiation and conflict-resolution skills with sound knowledge of Malaysian labor laws and regulations, particularly in compensation and benefits and industrial relations.
