As a Senior In-house Legal Counsel at Deriv, you will handle legal disputes, complaints, and investigations from customers, business partners, and stakeholders. Your responsibilities include reviewing and managing complaints, leading thorough investigations, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks, and implementing lessons learned to prevent future issues.You will prepare detailed reports, provide training to employees on complaint handling, and represent the company in legal proceedings. The role will test your analytical and problem-solving skills as you collaborate with internal and external teams and is vital in maintaining Deriv's integrity and reputation.Review and manage complaints by evaluating their validity and severity and determining the compliant actions with the regulatory frameworks relevant to our business.Investigate complaints by collaborating with internal teams and any involved third parties to obtain necessary evidence, document the findings, and analyse them.Monitor and enforce compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements related to complaint handling. Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may affect Deriv's complaint management practices.Prepare and review detailed documentation such as reports and summaries related to complaints and their resolution to ensure accuracy and legal sufficiency.Provide complaint handling and prevention training to employees and educate the team on deriv's policies and procedures for managing complaints.Represent Deriv in legal proceedings or negotiations related to complaints and manage any litigation outcomes.Requirements
