JOB PURPOSE To execute daily tasks/functions in achieving objective of the Department.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Financial Effective control over office expenses and/or other operational expenditure. Eg support paperless initiative, safe printing cost, use recycle paper to do paperwork on notes and income calculation outside system (if required). 2. Productivity & Service Level Agreement (SLA) Ensure strictly adherence to any Credit Policies, BNM guidelines, Product guidelines, and Retail Product Program, and highlight any deviations or Credit Exceptions in your credit underwriting i.e. CAM, before escalation to Approving Authority (AA). Perform credit verification with customer and employer during credit processing (if applicable). Communicate with Sales for additional verification to ensure accuracy of information provided to AA. Check customer's credit exposures and related accounts via SIBs (core banking system) / Corporate Business (if any) to determine total credit exposure of the Bank as well as determining the credit approving authority level. Maintain own tracking / register for cases processed on daily basis required to measure the productivity of each Processing Officer (PO), and match with the system generated report on monthly basis provided by Dept's reporting unit/CPIBS. Suggest/proposal for process improvement on the efficiency/quality/TAT in relation to meet said SLA/KPI. (eg. to further develop/enhance the existing workflow/SOP/guideline). 3. Customer Satisfaction (Internal & External) Ensure turnaround time (TAT) are well observed within the Service Level Agreement (SLA) set or better. Attend to all queries forwarded by Sales or other parties/department in a speedy manner. Guide, facilitate and provide wise advice to Sales personnel pertaining to issues related to credit if there are not cleared. Adhered to complaint management SOP or process flow. (If possible zero complaint written or verbal). 4. Attained skillsets and knowledge. Ensure to attained credit accreditation within stipulated time frame. Attend/conduct all the mandatory e-learning/credit related classes and briefing to enhance credit knowledge. 5. Audit & Compliance. Answerable/accountable to audit enquiries and department audit rating. Adheres to high ethical standards and ensures that all the Bank's business activities and operations are carried out in compliance with BNM's Guidelines/Policy Documents, regulations and laws governing business operations. Ensure all compliance issues are pro-actively managed and resolved quickly and efficiently. Keeps abreast of regulatory and Financial Services Industry trends and ensures subordinates. SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE Bachelor's Degree / Diploma with at least 3 years working experience in the Banking Industry with knowledge in various areas i.e. Banking Operations and Credit Evaluation. Knowledgeable in Bank's policies and procedures, exposure to Mortgage related products. Knowledge in Land Law / Conveyance. Possess Professional Credit Certification (PCC) is an added advantage. Good business Communication, Writing and Interpersonal skills. Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment. Able to perform Ad Hoc duties when deemed required.
