Job Overview: Ensure and drive the execution of assigned tasks and projects within Engineering & Automation Team to support business improvements and contract renewals.
These may include: Lead and execute engineering and automation projects to improve warehouse operations and support business growth.
Design and implement optimal warehouse layouts and storage solutions.
Lead the design process for warehousing projects, including planning, risk assessment, data analysis, and solution design.
Evaluate and select appropriate warehouse equipment and automation technologies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement and cost reduction.
Provide technical expertise in automation technologies and warehouse management systems.
Analyse data to plan and develop efficient logistics activities.
Validate and identify appropriate storage types and methodologies.
Provide support and coaching to sites and operations during implementation and testing phases.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Drive project deliverables, presentation of results and recommendations to stakeholders.
Requirements: Education Bachelors degree in engineering field, such as Industrial, Logistics, Automation etc Postgraduate degree is an advantage.
Related Experience Experience in modern warehouse engineering and supply chain design and other modern warehousing innovation desirable.
Minimum 10 years professional experience in Logistics, warehousing or 3PL industries, preferably in an international logistics service environment.
Proven experience in designing warehouse automation projects, including system design, implementation, and optimization.
Examples being design and installation of typical automation systems such as AGVs, ASRS, GTP.
Experience or knowledge in VSM and/or Six Sigma or similar is advantageous.
Technical Skills: Solid analytical skills with good commercial and technical understanding of Contract Logistics and Warehousing.
Designing how material flows within a facility, GTP technology, storage and retrieval system, product presentation to operator, tote bin packaging, lineside racking, warehouse design.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
Excellent knowledge and/or extensive experience of warehouse methods and techniques Knowledge on operative IT systems/WMS implementation and automated logistics warehouse systems.
Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office software such as Excel for data manipulation and processing; PowerPoint for presentations.
Experience in other supply chain design software/tools is beneficial.
Good knowledge in traditional and automated warehouse solution design; able to develop operationally feasible solution(s) to meet customer requirements.
Soft Skills: Structured project approach and ability to deliver results on time, on budget, and to excellent standards.
Good command in spoken and written English, other Asian language(s) is beneficial.
Self-starter with positive attitude to overcome problems effectively and able to work under own initiative with minimal supervision and work remotely when necessary.
Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Intercultural skills and working experience abroad are a plus.
