Responsibilities:Track the advancement of the company's HSEQ (ship management) systems.Inform the GM of the developments regarding the HSEQ issues in Malaysia.Observe the operating statistics.Observe employee training on health, safety, the environment, and quality both in the workplace and on board.Ensure adherence to all business and flag state regulations pertaining to health, safety, quality, and the environment by company boats.Assist with tender procedures and matters pertaining to the HR Crew when asked by GM.Communicate with the company security officer to obtain ship security assessments and plans.Oversee and manage the procedures for the Dry Cargo Fleet and the Marine assurance procedures (SIRE and TMSA) for gas vessels.Offer assistance with operations and marine-related issues as needed.Keep operation manuals for the vessel types under supervision up to date and support ongoing improvement.Fulfill specific responsibilities and tasks as detailed in the Malaysia Office Contingency Manual as a member of the Emergency Response Team.Conduct incident investigations and carry out tasks as requested by the GM/DPA, possessing the necessary training and expertise.Maritime Insurance:Plan LNG/LPG group vessel vetting inspections and maintain approvals that charterers, terminals, and owners demand, closing the loop on OCIMF and energy majors.Maintain a database of vetting inadequacies and produce reports for both internal and external comparison. Keep commercial questionnaires for LPG and tanker vessels up to date.Perform pre-vetting inspections as needed, train ship personnel for vetting inspections, and be present on board for vetting inspections, cargo operation monitoring, and coolant loading operations as needed.Support the LNG/LPG Group vessels in marine and operational problems as needed.Regularly update and improve tanker and gas carrier operation manuals.Qualifications:Technical and nautical credentials, ideally with prior seafaring experience.Comprehensive understanding of laws, norms, and industry standards.Strong background in maritime HSEQ work.Strong proficiency in written and spoken English.Basic computer skills.Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with shipboard employees, ship owners, charterers, and auditing and inspecting organizations.Certification for Risk Assessment and Incident Investigation Course (valid for 5 years).Certification for ISM/ISO Auditors.Attendance and experience in DPA courses.Certification and training for ISM/ISO courses.#J-18808-Ljbffr
