TheHead of Modern Tradewill lead the strategy, execution, and growth of the company's presence in the modern retail channels. This role involves developing long-term relationships with key retail partners, optimizing product placement and distribution, and driving sales performance across these channels. The Head of Modern Trade will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on commercial goals, marketing initiatives, and operational strategies.
Job Descriptions:Manage departmental operating budgets and expenditure according to annual allocation to ensure efficient usage of resources, where applicable
Develop and implement short- and long-term sales strategies and plans
Assign geographical sales territories and establish budgets. Cascade and monitor key performance indicator achievements. Evaluate team performance gaps and requirements for improvement
Lead and monitor progress of sales activities, including market hygiene versus budgets and store call cycles. Implement customized solutions based on changing markets and trends
Negotiate pricing and contract terms to facilitate sales agreements and achieve targeted margins
Evaluate product gap analyses and product improvement proposals. Recommend new/enhanced product solutions
Review sales reports and analysis. Evaluate sales trends/forecasts and form meaningful conclusions to facilitate strategic decisions
Develop, monitor and recommend continuous improvement on sales processes, sales plans, customer satisfaction, etc. Monitor department accounts receivable days closely and oversee collection trends
Manage complex customer issues and recommend preventive actions to minimize future incidents
Develop and build relationships with customers to achieve business objectives
Collaborate with internal department to better understand requirements and to leverage cross-product/industry business opportunities
Drive and manage learning and development of team in the area of Field Sales and behavior to achieve team/function goals
Drive self-learning and improvement in the area of Field Sales and behavior as part of continuous learning
Requirements:Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field.
At least minimum 8 years' experience in key account management, preferably in FMCG industry.
Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build rapport with customers.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
Results-oriented mindset, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
