We pledge to make Prudential a place where you can Connect, Grow, and Succeed.This is a global role to assist the Group Privacy Team in undertaking, monitoring, and advising on privacy compliance activities in Asia. The candidate will work in conjunction with stakeholders across numerous global departments to ensure compliance with privacy laws, enhance privacy controls, and escalate risks and issues to the Group Privacy team.The candidate will work closely with colleagues across the local privacy functions to assist the Group Privacy Team in aligning and driving Group's data privacy priorities and activities. They will analyse key risk and performance indicators and provide recommendations to stakeholders on risk mitigants and necessary compliance activities.The candidate will work with stakeholders to implement and enhance privacy controls across operational activities, including digital transformation projects, AI activities, client propositions, product design, HR initiatives etc. They will ensure systems, processes and procedures are compliant with the relevant legislative and regulatory requirements across Prudential's global markets.The candidate will foster a data protection culture within the organisation through training and awareness programme. They will adopt a Privacy by Design approach and methodology.Principal Accountabilities:Work with key stakeholders such as local privacy teams to implement and enhance privacy controls in new projects and initiatives.Assist the Group Privacy Team in monitoring local business compliance with data privacy requirements across all regions, identify non-compliance risks and work with stakeholders to develop a programme of activity to address such risks.Provide data privacy advice for group projects and issues.Perform and review the privacy impact assessment for the personal data processing activities.Manage data incident at group or local level.Raise awareness of data privacy requirements and issues across group and local businesses.Develop and maintain relationships with the local privacy teams and businesses.Assist in maintaining and updating Prudential's Group Privacy Policy and Operation Standards and contribute to other policy and procedure development which impacts privacy at a Group or local level.Monitor and update the requirements of new data protection legislation and regulations.Undertake gap analysis to identify risks and develop remedial action.Work with key stakeholders globally in the development of Prudential's privacy programme, including policy setting and review, compliance roadmaps, risk management, training, audit, and reporting requirements.Knowledge & Experience Required:Degree in law, cybersecurity or information technology would be an advantage.Experience in handling local data privacy laws covering multiple jurisdictions especially ASEAN (including PDPA, PDPL, PIPL, Personal Data Ordinance).At least 3-5 years of data privacy relevant working experience in handling and monitoring data privacy and protection (not total work experience).
