Research competitor pricing, product offerings, and promotions.
Gather customer feedback to refine product selection and identify new opportunities.
Ensure all products meet the Original Classic quality standards.
Address and resolve issues with defective or substandard goods in collaboration with suppliers.
Work closely with store teams to ensure smooth stock management and merchandising efforts.
Align purchasing activities with marketing campaigns and promotional strategies.
Prepare reports on inventory, sales performance, and procurement activities.
Highlight key achievements and recommend actionable improvements for future operations.
Job Requirement
1. Education and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Marketing, or a related field.
Diploma holders with relevant experience may also be considered.
2. Experience:
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in merchandising, buying, or a related role in retail, preferably in the sportswear industry.
Proven track record in inventory management, product sourcing, and supplier negotiations.
3. Skills:
Analytical Skills:Ability to analyze sales data, market trends, and inventory reports to make informed decisions.
Negotiation Skills:Strong ability to negotiate costs, contracts, and delivery terms with suppliers.
Organizational Skills:Proficient in managing multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities.
Communication Skills:Excellent written and verbal communication for liaising with suppliers, team members, and management.
Attention to Detail:Strong focus on quality assurance and accuracy in reporting.
Tech-Savvy:Proficient in Microsoft Excel, inventory management systems, and other relevant software.
4. Knowledge:
In-depth understanding of retail operations, especially in the sportswear segment.
Familiarity with market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities in the retail industry.
Knowledge of supply chain and inventory management practices.
