Do you lean in and proactively seek to solve Business challenges through a people centric lens?  Our newly remodeled "People Partnering" function is a global team of HR professionals, working geographically whether at site, in country or by region to deliver core HR advisory responsibilities across the full employee lifecycle.

Based at our site in Johor, Malaysia this role supports 800+ number of people and is a valuable contributor and member of the site leadership team. Together with your HR team of 4 you will have oversight and accountability for the full employee lifecycle activities including;
As a People Partner working with our sites and/or supporting a Country, you will: Employee Relations : manage and resolve employee relations matters, providing advice and mitigating the creation of formal employee relations issues where possible. A comprehensive working knowledge of relevant labor laws, investigation protocols, employee consultation processes and conflict resolution strategies are needed. Participate in the development, implementation and review of human resources policies and procedures for the department in line with legislative and business requirements.
Managing Performance :  institute consistent practices that ensure all colleagues and their managers are fully engaged in the performance management process. Promote and provide training on how to utilize our continuous performance tool to foster regular feedback and conduct frequent goal reviews. Support the creation of performance improvement plans and training needs analysis where required.
Managing Absence : institute consistent practices that ensure all colleagues and their managers are proactively engaged in the absence management process enabling a successful and supportive return to work following short- or long-term leaves.
Workforce Optimization :  work in partnership with HRBP's and COE's to implement workforce strategies and plans that flex in times of Business needs. Comprehensive experience is required to conduct involuntarily terminations and furlough programs in a respectful and dignified manner.
Workforce Flexibility : institute consistent practices that ensure all colleagues and their managers are coached through the various options available to them. Including but not limited too; parental leave, emergency time off, flexible working and study leave.
Workforce Planning : coach hiring managers in all aspects of position management and support stakeholders in the requisition creation, approval process as well as scoping the job architecture and assessing market competitiveness.
New Hire Orientation & Onboarding : ensure a first-class employee orientation and onboarding experience for new and acquired employees. Support managers and employees throughout their first 90 days, including probationary reviews.
Off Boarding : As with our welcome, our goodbye is also a professional experience through tailored outplacement support, pre-retirement planning and exit interview discussions that are handled with curiosity and a learning mindset. Work with local leadership team for retention strategies.
Mergers and Acquisitions : Support the due diligence efforts, conduct site visits, and implement the integration playbook with a strong focus on employee onboarding and compliance trainings. Work in partnership with the responsible HRBP on any Organizational strategies that need specific support implementing.
Talent Acquisitions : Support hiring managers to establish talent acquisition strategy, ensure effectively select and utilize appropriate media to recruit personnel. Coordinate with hiring managers to understand the requirements, conduct screening of employment and interviews. Evaluate the competitiveness to ensure the proposed offer is aligned with business needs and market norm.
Career Development :  Support managers and employees with guidance and resources to enable rich career development conversations.
Employee Engagement and Belonging : Drive the adoption and implementation of the employee engagement and diversity and inclusion strategy with HRBP. Facilitate relationships with local community partners and take the lead in social responsibility, morale and appreciation events for your stakeholder group.
Operationalize HR Processes : Train and coach employees and managers on how to leverage our global employee platform to ensure all aspects of the employee life cycle are effective. This includes performance appraisals, merit, salary adjustments, promotional assessments, bonus calculations and communications, goal setting and talent management.
Compensation & Benefit : Provide strategy and market analysis to ensure the competitiveness for compensation & benefit. Work closely with Global Total Rewards team to align the global practice and work local specific if needed.
HR Leadership and Governance : As a valued and active member of the site/country leadership team you will proactively champion the people agenda and provide balanced insights and advice that will help drive the business towards achieving its goals. Be knowledgeable of emerging trends, changes to legislation and best practices as you work in partnership with the Global HR Compliance team to manage policy changes and implement local strategies.
Crisis Management : Represents the human aspects and people needs to collaborate with cross functions to ensure the health, safety, well-being our most valued asset and employees that arise during times of uncertainty and crisis. Examples may include severe weather conditions, pandemic response, or events where the health, safety and wellbeing of our employees require immediate coordination, communication and specific actions to be taken.
People Operations : Partner with the Global Compliance team to ensure seamless handoffs so they are set up for success in being able to accurately capture the data changes within our various systems in real time.
Your background includes: Bachelor's Degree with a focus in Human Resources (preferred). Proven and progressive experience gained in HR especially in manufacturing or other equivalent roles with transferrable skills. Skilled at navigating and influencing through a matrixed organization. Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally, build strong relationships and become a trusted partner to relevant stakeholders. Familiarity of local labor laws. Fluent speaking and written English and Bahasa, Mandarin is highly preferrable. Computer Skills Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Knowledge of HR systems: SAP Success Factors would be highly advantageous. Work Requirements Regular onsite attendance at the sites supported. Compliance to all relevant HID Global policies and procedures related to Quality, Security, Safety, Business Continuity, and Environmental systems.
