Senior Operational Finance Specialist, Penang Rssc

This position is responsible for managing the accounting and controlling functions within the Finance Shared Services.
The incumbent will provide services to countries across the APAC region, ensuring quality and timely delivery of tasks as outlined in the Service Level Agreement (SLA).
Additionally, they will lead and manage a team handling statutory audits and tax compliance for countries supported by RSSS Penang.
Job Scope:
Statutory Audit Support
Manage yearly local statutory audit requirements with appointed external auditors.
Support group audits when required.
Coordinate audits and work closely with LSSC and ISSC to ensure timely completion as per group schedules.
Prepare audit schedules and supporting documents as requested by external auditors.
Tax Compliance Support
Assist with bi-monthly SST, quarterly GST, and monthly WHT compilation and submission to tax authorities (excluding countries with complex tax regulations).
Coordinate with appointed tax agents to ensure yearly corporate income tax submissions are filed according to each country's deadlines.
Compute monthly tax provisions and support group tax tools and deferred tax processes.
Provide information to the group on local transfer pricing documentation.
General Responsibilities
Fully support the supervisor and manage stakeholder relationships.
Consistently train and impart knowledge to team members.
Collaborate with center management to provide career growth and development opportunities for the team.
Develop an employer brand for the center that reflects the Company's culture.
Requirements:
Basic knowledge of freight forwarding and logistics.
Good understanding of processes and SSC concepts.
Strong controlling mindset with a drive to challenge and improve corporate standards.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related disciplines.
Qualified accountant.
At least 2–3 years of audit experience.
In-depth understanding of financial and cost accounting.
Proven people management and leadership skills (recruitment, selection, training & development, coaching, conflict management, performance management).
Ability to prepare and analyze reports.
Cost-optimization oriented.
Capable of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
Familiar with entrepreneurial and strategic matters.
High level of accountability, credibility, and assertiveness.
Strong organizational skills (prioritizing, planning, assigning, and controlling tasks).
Ability to work effectively with different cultures and manage cross-functional interfaces.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
