DescriptionWe are seeking a highly experienced Senior Petrophysicist to join our team in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of petrophysical principles and extensive experience working in Malaysian basins and Field Development Projects (FDP).
Key Responsibilities:Conduct net sand screening and interpretation for optimal results.
Analyze porosity data to inform drilling decisions.
Perform permeability analysis to determine hydrocarbon flow rates.
Calculate water saturation levels to ensure accurate reservoir modeling.
Interpret fluid contacts and pressure data to optimize well placement.
Determine fluid types and flag potential issues.
Develop uncertainty and sensitivity analyses to inform business decisions.
Present final outputs and reports to stakeholders.
Requirements and Experience:A minimum of 15 years of experience as a Petrophysicist in the oil and gas industry.
Expertise in screening well logs to extract valuable data.
Proficiency in calculating VSH/VCL values to inform reservoir modeling.
The ability to determine optimal methods for porosity and permeability calculations.
