JOB DESCRIPTIONWood is recruiting a Senior Process Engineer, who has a vast experience in Oil & Gas Downstream business industry to join our Kuala Lumpur Office team to support the Operations APAC (West) engineering activities.Wood's Operations business delivers brownfields engineering, procurement, construction, optimization and technical services to the energy (oil and gas downstream business) & materials sectors within the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. All, united by our common purpose to unlock solutions to the world's most critical challenges.RESPONSIBILITIESIn this role, you will be reporting directly to the Lead Process Engineer in the KL Office and potentially will be closely collaborating with our Perth, Western Australia Office for workshare and be working across FEED / Detailed Design/ Execution phase. Your focus will be on:performing process engineering design work i.e. design basis, philosophies, design calculation, process diagram and drawings, including process safeguards;providing support (process input) to other disciplines during discussions, workshops, process requirement in datasheets, specifications, etc;applying knowledge of process design principles to the design/modification of petroleum production/processing facilities to ensure it is inherently safe;ensuring compliance with code and standards, project owner best practice, local authority regulations in all aspects of process design;be responsible and reliable for any decision-making made with guidance from the superior.At Wood you will join an inclusive and diverse global community of inquisitive minds and recognized industry innovators, partnering to create new possibilities.QUALIFICATIONSSuitably qualified with a Bachelors of Chemical Engineering degree from an accredited university, ideally you will have relevant experience in process engineering design consultancy for downstream business for petroleum production or processing facilities and preferably on brownfields projects.To be considered for this opportunity, you must hold valid work rights to work lawfully in this Malaysian location.In addition, you will have:10+ years of relevant experience in the offshore / onshore Oil and Gas upstream / downstream industryRegistered with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) Professional Engineer Registration is preferred, but not mandatoryExperienced engineer with sound technical background and expertiseCompetent in Technical Process design / environmental requirements, procedures, and responsibilitiesKnowledge of process regulations and applicable industry codes / standardsExcellent report writing and oral communication skillsIntellectually capable, can substantiate the ability to apply theory in a practical contextProfessional demeanor, interpersonal skillsEnthusiastic, conscientious, and keen to learnAble to demonstrate a level of team working skillsFlexible with a can-do attitudeExperienced in quality control requirements and quality assurance for engineering workDemonstrated experience in supporting and mentoring junior colleagues.A "solutions mindset" and able to manage varying tasks with often changing and competing prioritiesWhat will set you apart will be your relevant experience with Brownfields petroleum production/processing facilities.In return, this role will offer you an opportunity to thrive within a global organization working collaboratively as part of a diverse and inclusive community of inquisitive minds, unlocking tomorrow's solutions to the world's most critical challenges.
