Job Summary:We are seeking a Production Engineer to join our team to support our tNavigator software. The successful candidate will be responsible for understanding the technical challenges of an individual client, responding quickly to support requests, setting up examples and custom workflows to enrich users' experience, developing and delivering technical training, providing technical support to clients, and working with our development team to enhance the software's features.
Key Responsibilities:Provide expert technical support to clients in the use of tNavigator software, both through email/phone and in-person site visits
Develop and deliver training programs for clients and internal staff
Work with our development team to enhance tNavigator's features and functionality
Collaborate with other teams within RFD to provide integrated solutions to clients
Lead and participate in integrated reservoir simulation studies which include data analysis, model construction, history matching, calibration, and prediction
Participate in technical conferences and present papers on behalf of the company.
Support Account Managers in technical sales presentations
Help identify new business opportunities.
Requirements:Bachelor's or Master's degree in petroleum engineering or related field
8+ years of experience with production network modeling with an operator or service company
Extensive knowledge of production network modeling and simulation tools (i.e., tNavigator, GAP, Prosper, PIPESIM)
Desirable knowledge of reservoir modeling tools (i.e., tNavigator, Eclipse, or CMG)
Desirable knowledge of geological reservoir modeling tools (i.e., tNavigator, PETREL, SKUA, RMS)
Experience with Python for automation and data analysis is highly preferred.
Proven ability to lead and mentor junior engineers.
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Have very good time management and communication skills both in written and verbal English.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Travel Requirements:The employee will be expected to travel within Malaysia and Southeast Asia and would be willing to be away from the Kuala Lumpa office for up to two weeks at a time and for up to 12 weeks per year. Standard RFD travel policy must be adhered to regarding the choice of airlines, hotels, and other travel arrangements.
