We are looking for a skilled and proactive Senior Purchaser (Standard Parts) to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in sourcing, negotiating, and managing suppliers for standard parts, with a strong focus on ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement.
Job Responsibilities:
Source, negotiate, and select suitable standard parts suppliers based on PR or RFQ requests from the project team.
Review purchase requests for materials, supplies, or equipment.
Create purchase orders and track them to ensure timely shipment and delivery of materials as promised.
Manage supplier relationships, including performance management, quality control, and adherence to on-time delivery standards.
Identify and develop relevant vendors who can meet our specific requirements.
Maintain accurate records and ensure up-to-date filing of purchases, shipments, and related documentation.
Collaborate with engineering teams to find substitute parts when lead times for existing parts are too long.
Manage End of Life (EOL) parts and ensure timely resolution of related issues.
Resolve invoice discrepancies with the accounts payable team and vendors as necessary.
Handle any additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain management.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Exceptional negotiation, customer service, and consulting abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and related tools.
