The Senior Purchasing Executive is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials, equipment, and services necessary for construction projects.
This role ensures that all purchases meet the required quality standards, are cost-effective, and are delivered on time to support project schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain good relationship and communication with suppliers for all materials, equipment, machinery, etc.
Source suppliers, negotiate contracts/pricing, delivery terms, payment conditions, and quality standards, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring accurate quantities and timely delivery.
Analyze spending patterns, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement procurement strategies to reduce costs.
Lead and mentor junior purchasing team members.
Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, legal regulations, and ethical standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Prior experience working as a Senior Purchasing Executive within the construction industry.
In-depth knowledge of procurement principles, strategies, and best practices.
Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
Good networking with suppliers and proficiency in sourcing.
Skills:
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
Knowledge of construction materials and industry standards.
