Key Job Responsibilities The Senior Quality Assurance Officer (SQAO) reports to the Assistant Manager, Quality & Projects (AMQP) and is responsible, to assist with the implementation of Quality Management System (QMS) of the laboratory by supervising and ensuring all Quality Systems in the lab ( Task procedures, Staff competencies, Metrological & Evaluation studies and Quality Assurance Programs) are maintained in order to meet and sustain all accreditation standards and requirements of MS ISO 15189 , JCI, MSQH and ACSH.Conduct the investigations into Non-Compliances discovered and work with the AM(Operations) and MLQAO to identify root causes and design and implement effective corrective and preventive measures. Prepares the investigative reports for review by the Lab Manager.Supervise the creation , implementation , data extraction & analysis and reporting of Metrological & Evaluation studies (Measurement of Uncertainty, Correlation , Validation and Verification studies etc) and Quality Control strategies.Provide training to MLTs/MLSs on technical subject matters and soft skills to enhance their job skills.Responsible for conducting the annual competency assessments for main laboratory staff and ensuring staff training requirements are being met according to accreditation standards.Assist the AMQP in performing Risk Management analysis, Root cause analysis and FMEA studies to identify potential hazards in the lab work environment and develop solutions to mitigate or controls needed to minimize or remove the identified risks/hazards.Plan and carry out technical audits to ensure the lab and its staff are adhering to all relevant and required protocols to meet accreditation standards and safety guidelines.Responsible for the enrollment and performance of External and Internal Quality Control / Assurance Programs for all disciplines. Job Requirements Education / Professional Qualification
Degree in Biomedical Science or its equivalent.Minimum 5 years working experience in a Clinical Laboratory under multiple disciplines and with 3 years experience in supervisory/ management duties.Consistent in achieving high competency scores for the last 3 years in annual "Technical ,Leadership & Behavioral Competency Assessment".Possesses good technical and operational knowledge and skills of the various disciplines in Medical Lab Technology.Being privileged in additional skills or possessing additional specialist qualifications or certifications will be an added advantage.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Good verbal and written communication skills with good interpersonal and customer service skills.Enthusiastic and self-motivated with good organizational skills and attention to detail.Good time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Good skills with Microsoft Office Software, Lab Information Systems and other lab related software.
