as a Senior Quantity Surveyor.
This full-time role is based in Kota Bharu, Kelantan and is crucial in ensuring the successful delivery of construction projects.
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will oversee all aspects of cost management, contract administration, and project controls to support the company's strategic objectives.
What you'll be doing
Prepare and manage detailed cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for construction projects
Negotiate and administer construction contracts, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements
Provide expert advice on contractual and financial matters to project managers and stakeholders
Analyse and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and other technical documents
Identify and mitigate potential cost risks, implementing effective cost control measures
Lead and mentor junior quantity surveying staff, fostering a collaborative and productive team environment
Liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to maintain positive working relationships
What we're looking for
8+ years of proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
Thorough understanding of construction contracts, cost management, and quantity surveying best practices
Excellent technical skills in cost estimation, project control, and construction documentation
Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills to effectively liaise with stakeholders
Proficient in using quantity surveying software, such as Buildsoft or CostX
Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
Professional membership with a relevant industry body (e.g.
AACE, RICS) is highly desirable
