Job Responsibilities:Prepare cost estimation, measurement and bill of quantities based on the tender documents, drawings and specifications for both pre-contract and post-contract stages.
Acquire quotations from contractors and suppliers for purpose of cost assessment, analysis, budgeting and recommend for approvals.
To prepare, manage and evaluate Subcontractor, Letter Awards and other related documents.
Collaborate with clients, consultants, suppliers, and sub-contractors.
Monitor on amendments to the scope of works and conditions of contract, variation order and apply an extension of time if necessary.
Accountable for pre and post-contract management, monitoring materials and construction cost, variation order, and final accounts.
Work closely with site personnel to address issues that may lead to extensions of time (EOT), variation orders (VO), or changes in working conditions from those stipulated in the contract.
Prepare and manage progress claims, sub-contractor payments, and final accounts.
Conduct site visits for valuation, joint measurement and regular meetings when necessary.
Prepare final measurement and account.
Assist in value engineering, cost optimization and budget setting.
Requirements:
Possess Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Professional Degree, in Quantity Surveyor or equivalent.
At least 3 - 5 Year(s) of working experience is required in civil, infrastructure or building works.
Good in Taking-off and Contracts Administrative Works.
Knowledge of construction methods, costing summary, and materials budget handling skills.
Demonstrate innovative approaches to problem-solving and an ability to negotiate across the various levels of any construction environment.
Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
Able to prioritize and respond with an appropriate level of urgency.
Highly reliable, and confident with handling data.
Possess good communication / negotiation skills, meticulous, independent, and able to work in fast-paced environment.
Good working attitude.
