Senior R&D Mechanical Engineer

Details of the offer

Involve in mechanical design and development activities of Agilent products (proposals, technical & risks assessment, concepts study, detailed designs, analysis, drawings, prototypes, tests, etc.)
Responsible for components sizing, calculation and selection of undertaken design (enclosures, structures, mechanism, automation, thermal management, optics, EMI Shielding, fluidic system, etc.)
Propose mechanical architecture/outline, components placement, CAD database management, platform standardization, etc.
Key estimator of mechanical BOM cost.
Conduct mechanical engineering tests, characterizations, cyclic and reliability tests according to product requirements.
Communicate and collaborate with internal teams (PM, Marketing/internal customers, Test engineers, Application engineer, Hardware engineer, Firmware, Software engineer, production engineer, etc.) and external teams (suppliers, design partners, contract manufacturers, etc.).
Coordinate and generate mechanical design related test cases.
Responsible for ensuring mechanical design meets the product requirements and project scopes and is able to deliver all the Product Lifecycle Deliverables as per the committed milestone.
Lead and perform root cause analysis on the issues found during development and sustaining phase.
Comply with the documentation requirement and database management as required in the QMS of legal entity.
Ensure all responsible designs are delivered according to corporate design standards.
To be competent as a mechanical lead (technical and tasks lead, schedule, issues tracking, job allocations, mentoring, etc.) for NPI and Sustaining projects if required.
Provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
Qualifications:
Bachelor or Master or PhD in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering from an accredited college/university.
Minimum 8 years of relevant mechanical design experience in R&D environment.
Experience in the designs of automation, mechanism, injection molded plastics, part/material/component selection, die-castings, extrusions, elastomeric parts, sheet metal parts, metal stampings, interconnects, electro-mechanical parts, and EMI shielding.
Familiar with ISO13485 standards and compliance requirements.
Strong technical, analytical, and troubleshooting skills. Demonstrate leadership, influencing, communication, and planning skills.
Team player who can multi-task and establish good rapport with internal customers/sponsors, cross-functional team members, and suppliers.
Able to adapt well in a dynamic working environment, eager to learn new knowledge, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.#J-18808-Ljbffr
