Randstad is partnering up with a leading payment gateways company in Malaysia, and they are looking for a senior risk analyst to join their expanding risk management team.
About the Job
Job Summary:
This role focuses on identifying and mitigating risks linked to merchant activities, ensuring strict adherence to internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
The Risk Analyst will collaborate with teams across sales, compliance, and operations to evaluate merchant applications, monitor ongoing activities, and manage risk exposure effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess and underwrite merchant applications, reviewing credit profiles, business operations, and associated risk factors.
Analyze financial records, credit scores, and other critical data to evaluate risk.
Conduct routine risk assessments and reviews for the merchant portfolio.
Leverage risk analysis tools and data systems to detect and examine potentially fraudulent activities.
Monitor merchant transactions to identify irregular patterns or behaviors indicative of fraud.
Ensure all underwriting processes align with industry rules, company guidelines, and global standards.
Collaborate with sales teams to align risk evaluations with business needs, offering insights and communicating findings clearly to key stakeholders.
Maintain comprehensive documentation for underwriting decisions and risk analysis processes.
Generate reports detailing risk exposure, underwriting results, and portfolio performance for senior management review.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Risk Management, or a similar discipline is required; professional certifications are advantageous.
At least 3 years of experience in risk assessment, underwriting, or a comparable area, preferably in e-commerce or payments.
In-depth knowledge of risk management strategies within the payment processing and e-commerce sectors.
Experience with CRM systems and ticketing tools is preferred.
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance frameworks.
Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
About the Manager/Team
This role reports directly to the CEO.
