Job SummaryProvides expert level account management, assessment, risk improvement and engineering services for customers and business partners within a specific complex or high risk industry segment, or a hazard or loss control technology requiring highly specialized expertise. Develops and maintains long-term customer relationships. Acts as a mentor/resource to other risk engineers in the assessment and development of value propositions for their accounts. The provision of comprehensive risk insight is often for multiple lines or specialized industries of business and for global market and globally managed relationship customers. The Senior Risk Engineering / Account Engineering Specialist is expected to have already achieved a Qualified-to-Perform level in the relevant Line of Business, specialist area of knowledge or specific Industry as defined in Risk Engineering's Q2P standards.

Job Accountabilities - Key AccountabilitiesAssesses the quality of complex risks, mainly for key/strategic assets, as described in the Risk Engineering Q2P Standard(s) and related competency level.
Risk assessments frequently cross applicable lines of business or industries and include desk top assessments and reviews of assessments from Zurich Risk Engineers or other approved sources.
Assesses loss potentials in accordance with agreed definitions.
Develops Customer Service Plan for complex coordinated accounts that drive efficient field service.
Ensures the delivery and quality of services to the account by Zurich Risk Engineering as well as ensures consistency of assessments, risk improvement advice, reporting and time & expense management across the account.
Communicates effectively with field risk engineers and nurtures relationships with industry partners such as brokers, industry consultants, professional organizations, and approval authorities.
Supports external customers by identifying, assessing and reducing the risks that they face on an overall account basis. Provides expert risk benchmarking services and account-wide risk improvement programs for the account.
Provides expert advice on risk management issues to internal business partners and external customers by being a strategic partner to the customer's Risk Manager and by providing extensive risk insights.
Acts as an expert and mentor within the Network on matters relating to Account Engineering.
Explores new service area opportunities, develops new lines of business and identifies areas for cross-selling. Meets realistic expectations of customers and Underwriting.
Manages change within the account by keeping in close contact with customer management and business partners, reviewing new projects and plans for change.
Responsible for conducting cost estimations (bundled and unbundled) and budget controls of the account. Demonstrates a profound understanding of the RE network, functions, procedures and responsibilities.
Job QualificationsRequired:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Risk Management, or a related field.
Preferred:
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in risk engineering or a similar field, with demonstrated experience in identifying, analyzing, and mitigating risks in complex environments.
Experience within the insurance or financial services industries is highly desirable.
Proficiency in risk assessment methodologies, risk modeling, and risk mitigation strategies.#J-18808-Ljbffr
