About the roleCapri by Fraser Johor Bahru is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and service. Based in Johor Bahru, Johor, you will play a key role in leading the Culinary Team and contributing to the overall success of our Hospitality & Tourism establishment.
What you'll be doing
Managing and directing the kitchen team to deliver exceptional dining experiences
Overseeing the preparation, cooking, and presentation of all food items on the menu
Ensuring adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations
Monitoring inventory, ordering supplies, and managing the kitchen budget
Providing training and mentorship to junior chefs and kitchen staff
Collaborating with the management team to develop new menu concepts and implement improvements
What we're looking for
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Senior Sous Chef or equivalent role in a reputable Hospitality & Tourism establishment
Proven track record of leading a team of chefs and delivering high-quality cuisine
Excellent knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Ability to work well under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Passion for using fresh, locally sourced ingredients
Proficient in written and spoken English
