Job PurposeLead and manage the development of crude and new product work processes and maintenance of crude and product databases along with PRefChem crude and process simulation system (SPIRAL) by providing consultation and developing strategies for continuous improvement. This is achieved by keeping abreast with latest process simulation technology from the Oil and Petrochemical business market, application of best practices from other plants and leverage on network with external parties or professional bodies e.g. IChemE. Custodian for Production Planning Skill Group Feedstock training material, and will act as resource person for feedstock and product skill ruler under the Skill Development Matrix.Key AccountabilitiesCrude Assay Simulation ToolsLead the improvement identification and technical studies for Production Planning simulation tools by conducting evaluations on latest available tools and provide recommendation for business use in ensuring robust and up-to-date tools within the organization to support future growth.Process Monitoring, Analysis & TroubleshootingLead the process monitoring by identifying unit/process potential problem through analysis of key operating parameters, troubleshooting anomalies and recommending proactive measures by improving crude assays and base plus delta Linear Programming (LP) vectors that can best simulate the plant's start of run, mid of run and end of run performance which will improve the optimization exercise in the LP model to produce the most optimum operating plan for PrefChem Integrated Complex short and long term plan, that best represent the current and future plant conditions.Process Improvement through Simulation /Optimization StudLead and plan the execution of Refinery improvement and simulation study by identifying potential benefit using applicable simulation tools, performing plant/facility trial run, identifying plant/unit performance limitations, reviewing lesson learn and adopt best practices as well as investigating and establishing improved operating guidelines to ensure optimum plant performance, maximize value creation and minimize operating cost.Technical Capability DevelopmentDevelop and update technical training modules & plan by benchmarking to the best practices while keeping abreast with latest technology as well as conducting training to upgrade the technical knowledge and capabilities of technical staff to become specialists.Networking and Relationship BuildingFoster and sustain effective working relationships and rapport with the government authorities, business and management institutions, national and key industry players and service providers to keep abreast with latest development to capture new business opportunities within Oil and Gas industries.Mindset, Behaviour and CulturePractise distinctive mindset, behavior and culture to achieve high work performance by adoption and implementation of value interventions, tools and methodologies to promote and instill high sense of commitment, ownership, integrity and loyalty that will contribute to operational excellence.Qualification:The incumbent must possess required tertiary education in engineering, technical or science with several years of refinery experience. The person must have a degree in Chemical Engineering or any related engineering/science field.Experience:He / she should possess:Minimum 2 years in Plant Operation in Refinery, Steam Cracker and/or Petrochemical10 to 12 years' experience in Production Planning function with skills in simulation tools i.e any Crude Assay Manager / Crude Cutter i.e HCAMS/SPIRAL Crude modeling for feedstock troubleshooting activity;Skills crudes/products technical and quality analysis, especially in crude assay generation for LP input data with knowledge of Crude Assay Management system tools.Knowledge of refining/petrochemical processes and operations for topping, hydroskimming and conversion process units: example CDU/ARDS/ Reformer/Hydrocracker/RFCC/BTX/Coker/Isomerisation/ Lube/SCC/Utilities.A good understanding of the shareholder agreements such as feedstock and product supply agreement.Ability to develop training program, learning materials and deliberate training on Crude/products quality, Refinery processes and understanding process unit calibration activity.Why join usCompetitive salary and benefit packageJV of giants (PETRONAS and Saudi Aramco)Future leading world class integrated refinery and petrochemicals producer.
