Senior Staff Nurse

Job Responsibilities:Responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation and documentation of nursing care.
Ensure continuity of a high standard of evidence-based nursing care for patients, assessing health-related and nursing needs of patients, their families, and other carers.
Safe handling and administration of chemotherapy to patients.
Patient and caregiver education.
Perform phlebotomy, cannulation and insertion of venous access devices.
Drug counseling.
Nursing administrative duties based on SOPs.
Ensure good communication with peers, patients and those referring in to the service.
Requirements:
Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Degree in Nursing.
Possess a Post-basic in Oncology Nursing qualification.
Have been practicing oncology nursing work continuously for the past 8 - 10 years.
Have a valid APC.
Good communication skills with excellent bedside manners.
This is a chemo daycare full-time position working 6 days per week with alternate Saturdays off. You are not required to work on Sundays and Public Holidays and there is no overnight shift.
