Senior System Engineer

Responsibilities:
Ensure server health by monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving issues promptly.
Collaborate with the software development team to enhance service operability across development, staging, and production environments.
Build systems, automate processes, and implement tools to support smooth code deployment and end-to-end test automation.
Design scripts and use tools to automate builds, monitor performance, and troubleshoot services.
Implement and review Disaster Recovery Plans, focusing on failover automation, RTO, RPO, and data backup strategies.
Prepare, document, and review standards, procedures, and best practices for system administration.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 5+ years of experience in system and infrastructure administration (LAMP stack, AWS, or cloud platforms).
Proficient in Linux (Ubuntu) and shell scripting (bash, Python, Ansible).
Experience with open-source servers (Apache, Nginx, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis) and server virtualization (Proxmox).
Familiar with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana) and app deployment tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience with version control (Git, Gerrit) and build tools (Jenkins, Bazel).
Knowledge of network design, routing, and VPN (e.g., OpenVPN).
Strong collaboration, risk assessment, SCRUM methodology, and startup mindset.
Proficient in Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Melayu.
