aleksandar. have been appointed to manage a specialised recruitment process on behalf of a leading multinational organisation. Our mandate is to identify and appoint a Senior Tax Analyst in Penang, Malaysia. Our business partner is a multi-billion dollar, high profile company who offers a range of products and services across the manufacturing sector.
Joining a regional Tax division, the successful candidate will be reporting directly to the Tax Manager, Malaysia and will be responsible for a variety of tax matters concerning the business' operations and associated entities across Malaysia and various regions.
You will have a strong knowledge (cultivated at a Big4 accounting firm or top tier manufacturing firm) and understanding of taxation risk and regulatory requirements as well as a commitment to industry best practice across transfer pricing, compliance and optimisation.
Additionally, the mandate requires the candidate to have a minimum of 3 years' Malaysian corporate tax experience and the willingness to join the organisation on a long term contract.
Candidates we are interested to speak with will be responsible for the following:
Monitoring and control of processes for Direct & Indirect Taxes in Malaysia.
Advisory and/or support to external and internal stakeholders on Malaysian and international tax matters.
Definition of processes and interfaces between tax department and other departments/business units.
Coordinate and collaborate with relevant stakeholders on direct and indirect tax audits and as the contact person for tax authorities and external advisors.
Support in the preparation of TP documentation.
Advice on new business models in accordance with group policies (e.g. TP rules).
Support in contract negotiations (e.g. tax clauses in agreements).
Governance function for all direct and indirect tax compliance topics for all Indonesia legal entities and its foreign permanent establishment / warehouses.
Governance role regarding international transactions (e.g. withholding taxes, permanent establishments, TP).
Governance role with respect to personal income tax topics (e.g. deduction on salaries of employees).
Coordinate all Malaysia Tax Incentives.
RequirementsMinimum 3+ years of corporate tax experience (Big 4 accounting firm experience preferred).
Transfer Pricing experience.
Proficient in SAP, Microsoft Excel and Word.
Strong business acumen with a strategic and proactive skill set.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills at the business and technical level.
Strong team player with demonstrated leadership ability who is commercially focused and has ability to communicate cross functionally.
Adaptable and flexible with the ability to work across cultures.
