We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Buyer to join our team.
This role requires an individual who is proactive, detail-oriented, and adept at managing supplier relationships while ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality materials.
Job Responsibilities:
Source, negotiate, and select appropriate fabrication parts suppliers based on project requirements and drawings provided by the project team.
Maintain strong supplier management by fostering positive relationships with approved vendors (AVL).
Regularly assess supplier capabilities, capacity, and evenly distribute workloads.
Provide monthly reports on supplier loading and performance.
Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring that materials are delivered on time and as specified.
Oversee supplier performance, including quality adherence and on-time delivery.
Identify and develop new suppliers who can meet specific requirements and support business needs.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, shipments, and related documentation.
Address and resolve invoice discrepancies in collaboration with the accounts payable team and vendors.
Take on additional tasks or projects as needed, ensuring the smooth running of the supply chain.
Job Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain management.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Extensive experience working with fabrication vendors and understanding technical drawings.
Proven negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and customers.
In-depth knowledge of metal parts finishing processes (e.g., anodizing, polishing, hardening, EN plating).
Familiarity with fabrication machines such as CNC milling, lathes, EDM, and wire-cut machines.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Experience with ERP systems, particularly MRP and purchasing modules.
