Senior Technician (Laboratory)

Responsibilities:
Perform laboratory tasks in providing analytical support/services to the production plant operation and other product quality related activities to ensure overall efficiency and effectiveness in line with site Quality and HSE (health, safety and environment) requirements.
Adhere and comply with the continuous improvement of HSE & IMS (integrated management system) practices.
Participate actively in HSE and RC initiatives (e.g., plant general inspection, safety tips, etc.). Take proactive action to add value to BASF PETRONAS Chemicals and its stakeholders.
Demonstrate high competency in own role to troubleshoot own work using proven analysis and implementation tools.
Conduct tasks in a structured manner to produce a positive impact on the work scope.
Analyze results produced to identify improvements.
Job Requirements:
Certificate/Diploma in Chemistry/Analytical Science or any relevant qualifications.
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a laboratory, preferably in Petrochemicals or an analytical laboratory.
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
