Job Overview:
The Waiter/Waitress is responsible for providing excellent customer service, taking orders, delivering food and beverages, and ensuring guests have a pleasant dining experience. This role requires a friendly demeanor, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Customer Service:Greet and seat customers with a friendly attitude.
Present menus, answer questions, and make recommendations on menu items.
Take accurate food and drink orders and relay them to the kitchen staff.Order Delivery:Serve food and beverages promptly and accurately to customers.
Ensure all orders are presented according to restaurant standards.
Check with customers to ensure they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any issues.Table Management:Set up and clean tables before, during, and after service.
Reset tables with clean dishes, utensils, and napkins for the next customer.
Assist with maintaining cleanliness in the dining area and overall restaurant.Prepare bills and process payments (cash, credit cards, etc.).
Handle customer complaints or concerns professionally, escalating issues when necessary.
Coordination & Teamwork:Collaborate with other staff to ensure efficient restaurant operations.
Assist in other areas as needed, such as preparing simple beverages or side dishes.Qualifications:
Previous experience as a waiter/waitress preferred but not essential.
Strong customer service skills and a friendly attitude.
Ability to work on your feet for extended periods.
Basic math skills and familiarity with POS systems is a plus.
