Service Engineer Summary We are looking for a Service Engineer for a global leading supplier of equipment and tools, parts, service, and technical solutions for the mining industry.
The Service Engineer will be responsible for system fault maintenance and safe solutioning while adhering strictly to business and client's requirements. The role will be client-facing to advise and suggest adequate solutions of installation, repair, inspection and commissioning aligned with safety standards and protocols.
This role will have a 50% travel requirement within the Sales Area, based in KL, Malaysia.
Job Responsibilities Specialized fault inspections, installations, repairs, fine-tuning and product commissioning and equipment commissioning onsite and offsite, taking into account cost efficiencies and maintenance costs/impact. Independently perform complex troubleshooting and repairs, and provide technical feedback on TIM/TFM/CPI systems. (TIM = Technical Issue Management, TFM = Technical Feedback Management and CPI =Continuous Product Improvement process.) Cross collaboration with relevant business units on product failures and abnormality reports. Testing of operational equipment and diagnostic investigations. Developing routine work procedures according to safety standards and guidelines. Prepare and execute all activities in line with EHS and Quality, regulations, procedures, instructions, guidelines, and promote awareness, including addressing unsafe activities to others. Job Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field. Open to travelling as a work requirement. Experience in the field of Mechanics, Hydraulics and Electrics. Minimum of 3 years in Mining equipments, application and troubleshooting on Hydraulics and Electrical Systems. Strong adherence to safety standards and guidelines. Proficiency in Bahasa Melayu and English, both written and spoken.
