About the role: As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, repairing, and installing various heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
Your role will involve diagnosing issues, recommending solutions, and ensuring optimal functionality and efficiency of HVAC equipment especially in water-cooled and air-cooled chiller for commercial and industrial building.
Key Responsibilities: As the Service Engineer, you'll be responsible for: Inspection and Diagnosis - Conduct thorough inspections of HVAC systems to identify issues, defects, or malfunctions.
Utilize diagnostic tools and techniques to pinpoint problems accurately.
Maintenance and Repair - Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the proper functioning of HVAC systems.
Repair or replace defective components such as compressors, motors, filters, and thermostats.
Address issues related to airflow, refrigerant levels, electrical circuits, and ductwork.
Installation and Upgrades - Install new HVAC systems according to specifications and industry standards.
Assist in the planning and implementation of system upgrades or replacements.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
Testing and Calibration - Conduct tests to evaluate the performance and efficiency of HVAC equipment.
Calibrate controls, thermostats, and other system components to optimize functionality and energy efficiency.
Documentation and Reporting - Maintain accurate records of service activities, including inspections, repairs, and maintenance tasks.
Prepare detailed reports on findings, recommendations, and work performed.
Communicate effectively with clients, supervisors, and team members.
Customer Service - Interact professionally with customers to address their inquiries, concerns, and service requests.
Provide guidance on the proper use and maintenance of HVAC systems.
Offer recommendations for upgrades or improvements based on customer needs and budget constraints.
Emergency Response - Respond promptly to emergency service calls, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
Troubleshoot urgent issues and implement effective solutions to restore HVAC functionality and ensure occupant comfort and safety.
Requirements: Graduate of Bachelor Degree in Mechanical / Electrical and HVAC Fresh graduate most welcome or 1 year working experience in relevant field.
Strong knowledge of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning principles, components, and systems.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Willingness to adhere to safety guidelines and regulations.
Flexibility to work non-traditional hours and respond to emergency situations.
