Shipping Clerk

Responsibilities
Calculate charges, storage space, and demurrage charges.
Handle customs clearance procedures related to cargo documentation.
Liaise with regulatory authorities on cargo documentation clearance.
Monitor vessel arrival and departure.
Update and maintain shipment records.
Update clients on vessel activities and status of cargo clearance.
Update database on vessel arrivals, vessel departures, and cargo documentation.
Verify records on incoming and outgoing shipments.
Handle declarations for Import & Export ( K1,K2,K3,K4,K8,K9,ZB1,ZB2).
Handle all custom formalities with customs and other authorities regarding custom clearance.
Manage forwarding activities to ensure timely clearance of import and export goods.
Go daily to the port to process custom file submissions (if needed).
Monitor and update containers through the port system.
Monitor loading and unloading of warehouses and ports (if needed).
Liaise with clients and agents regarding proper HS codes and advise on duty/tax amounts upon enquiry.
Provide timely reports and appropriate analysis.
Ensure proper documentation filing and system updates.
